I'm almost completely moved in. I still have to clean the drawers in my desk and set up the Internet tomorrow. Once I'm done with that I'll be able to take a deep breath and call my new room home.

How do I post to his diary without having an Internet connection you ask? Geek mode on. Ah the wonders of technology. There are five or six WiFi networks on my block and two of them are unsecured so I'm logged onto one of them. Well me and twenty other people. I had to tape my WiFi USB stick to the window to get reception, but at least I didn't have to go a day without the Internet :-D Geek mode off.

Alright, maybe I am an addict. Just a tad ;-)

I've actually met one of my neighbors and talked to him. He's a senior citizen. He screwed the doorbell I swiped from my old room onto our door. I taped it up, but my neighbor wasn't happy with that so he insisted on changing it. He also accepted the package from my Internet Service Provider for me. I think he's pleased with having normal people move in next door.

You know what? I might actually ring the doorbell of my other neighbor and say hi. I haven't met him or her. I only dropped a card in their mail to apologize for any inconvenience I might have caused them. We dumped some stuff in front of their house when I was moving. Only for a couple of hours, but still. My neighbors were very concerned. Not a lot of faith in their fellow human beings I guess.

I've now met all my housemates and as far as I can tell I'm extremely lucky this time, because they all seem to be pleasant people as opposed to the thieving and conning housemates I had to put up with at my old place.

Of course they were very impressed with my mad vacuuming skillz when I vacuumed almost the entire house and rewired some cables. It's all about first impressions. I think I made a good one.

Mmkay. More excitement tomorrow. I think I might be on a roll update wise.
